The Annual Creative Forum for the Disabled

Because of its desire to deliver its mission and achieve its objectives for all categories of the Palestinian society, especially people with disabilities, the University College of Applied Sciences pays a special attention to care and rehabilitation programs for the disabled. The College offers such programs as a contribution to highlight the abilities and creativities of people with a disability and show aspects of determination, challenge and achievement in order to contribute to the advancement of the reality of this segment of society. Working with people with disabilities requires all national efforts demonstrated during the cooperation and coordination with organizations, associations, and community and professional centers. It also requires informed and active participation that cannot be limited to the responsibility of government alone but relies on the orderly interaction between the disabled and their families to bear the burdens of life and keep pace with changing and complex conditions. The issue of disability in Palestine requires the society to absorb and integrate all segments of people in the social, educational and economic fabric, with taking into consideration the differences and diversity in the capacity of individuals.
