The main headquarters of the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza City was subjected to widespread destruction that affected all the main buildings, during the barbaric genocidal war waged by the occupation army on the Gaza Strip for more than ten months, which has left tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded and displaced. The Israeli occupation army had destroyed in stages a group of the main buildings of the University College of Applied Sciences, namely the female students’ building, the vocational diploma building, the Kuwait Development Center building and the technology incubator, in addition to destroying a number of floors of the administration building and the student building with warplane missiles. This is in addition to the complete and systematic destruction of the infrastructure of the University College of Applied Sciences and its various facilities, classrooms and various specialized laboratories, which is classified as the first of its kind and the most modern at the level of Palestinian universities. It is worth mentioning that this deliberate targeting of the buildings and assets of the University College of Applied Sciences comes at a time when the Israeli occupation army is targeting all elements of life for the people of the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to bring this people to their knees and undermine their determination, in light of the impotence of international organizations and advocates of freedom and justice. Despite the enormity of the tragedy, the University College of Applied Sciences is determined to continue its noble mission in serving the Palestinian society, and is preparing to launch the new academic year according to the available capabilities, because it fully believes that the first step in the march of liberation begins with education.
