The Academic Development Center (ADC) is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and research across UCAS. Our primary mission is to equip faculty members with the latest pedagogical strategies and technological tools necessary to deliver exceptional educational experiences and enhance student success.
Our Core Objectives
The Center focuses on several key areas to achieve its mission:
Enhancing Teaching Excellence: Providing training, workshops, and mentorship to faculty on innovative teaching methodologies, assessment techniques, and classroom management.
Curriculum Alignment and Design: Supporting departments in reviewing and developing curricula that are aligned with national and international standards, industry demands, and the college’s strategic goals.
Integrating Educational Technology: Promoting the effective use of digital tools and e-learning platforms to create dynamic and engaging learning environments.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL): Encouraging faculty to conduct research on their own teaching practices to foster an evidence-based approach to education.
