Deanship of Information Technology

The inauguration of the Deanship of Information Technology marks a significant step towards developing technical and vocational education for the Palestinian community. Technology has become the lifeline of modern existence, playing a foundational rather than a supplementary role. This underscores the University College of Applied Sciences’ (UCAS) commitment to Information Technology, where the Deanship of Information Technology was established with the very inception of the College.

The Deanship of Information Technology comprises two main departments: the Multimedia Department, offering Bachelor’s and Diploma degrees in Multimedia; and the Software Department, which includes Diploma specializations in Web Design and Development, Software, Databases, and Mobile Game Design and Programming. These distinguished specializations meet local and regional demands, and they are overseen by an outstanding and pioneering group of specialized academic professionals in the field of technical work and education.

The Deanship of Information Technology strives to develop its human cadres—both academic and administrative—by encouraging and supporting academics to enhance their capabilities through participation in specialized training courses, pursuing higher studies, and producing scientific research that elevates the Deanship and the College at local and international levels.

Since the establishment of the Deanship to this day, it continues to supply the Palestinian community with distinguished graduates who have proven their competence in practical life. This success is due to the College’s commitment to preparing its students educationally, academically, professionally, and practically.
